My Final Weight Loss Journey

It would not be right not to share with you Mark's journey.

Mark without hesitation and whole heartedly made the decision to support me by going to Weight Watchers November 20, 2004.

Funny thing is that he thought to himself if I lose a little that won't hurt.  Mark went on to lose 76.2 lbs!  He also went from a 46 inch waist to a 38 inch waist.  His shirt size went from a 2XL Tall to a XL Tall.  I'm so proud of him.  As the pounds came off of him he became excited about Weight Watchers.  He loved the way that he felt.  It was a race between us, yet knowing that I had so much further to go.  I would lose 5 and then he would.  He got his 10% Goal award one week and then I was about 2 weeks behind him.  It was fun and the group loved spurring us on.  Mike had the greatest time with our race and the people in our meeting hoot and hollered every week.

Mark reached goal on December 17, 2005.  Actually, he weighed in at 202 lbs., 3 lbs. below his goal!  I had never been so proud or excited in my life.  You would have thought that I had reached goal!!!

Mark is a calm and easy-going type of guy.  He just smiled and I'm sure only he could tell you what he actually felt that day.  Since that time, I can tell you that I have witnessed a different man, full of energy, happy and full of confidence like I have never seen in him.

Mark...Sweetie, you are my hero!  Thanks for supporting me through thick and thin, my happiest moments and my darkest moments.  Thank you for loving me for the person that I am and not my physical body.  Sweetie, I know that I'm on this journey by myself with no competition this time around, but one thing I do know, you are on the sidelines jumping up and down, screaming and encouraging me all the way to GOAL!
