Bless your heart!!!! I used Dr.Oria here in Houston. He was Dr. Molina's assistant when he was alive. He took over Dr. Molina's practice. If you will send me an email I will get their phone number and give it to you. Maybe they can help you find a surgeon in Alaska to be able to reverse it for you. I had my reversal the day before Hurrican Rita hit our area. I traveled to get out of the area the day I got out of the hospital and did well. The reversal is just like having the surgery all over again but Dr. Oria will give you pain meds and Molina would not. Remember? I guess getting over the reversal was easier because you know what to expect. Please stay in touch with me. I'd love to follow your journey. If you decide to come to Houston to have it done. I want to meet you. If you need a place to stay to recover for a few days. I have a nice guestroom.

Thanks so much for your inspiring journey. I have suffered from my decision to have Dr Molina band on for about 10 years, with anemia, vitamin deficiencies, depression, bulimia. I'm in the process of trying to find a surgeon in Alaska who can remove it without too much damage. Where did you have your reversal done?
Thanks,
Inger

SIMPLE STEPS TO DOING WW

Don't make yourself crazy. Here's the easiest way to do program.

1. Eat 3 meals a day, healthy and smart, and 2-3 snacks in between IF you need them.
2. Weigh and measure your serving sizes. Our eyes are often bigger than our stomachs and we tend to not realize what our bodies really need in the way of nutrition. Eat a reasonable portion, and then WAIT. 20 minutes later, your hypothalamus will register: FED AND FULL.
3. Drink water to fill you up, cleanse your system, and keep you hydrated.
4. Write it all down. If you keep track of what you eat, when you eat, how much you eat, you'll figure out what works for you and where your weak spots are.
5. Weigh yourself only once a week, same time, if possible, same day, same clothing.
6. Don't be discouraged. It takes time to find out what works for you. Try new foods. Learn substitutes. Pick healthier selections (whole grains instead of white flour products; fruit instead of cookies; skinless chicken instead of fried, etc.).
7. Don't use FOOD as a reward, escape, boredom, comfort, stress reliever. Our eating just adds to our unhappiness, so ENJOY FOOD, and learn how to eat in moderation...and find other ways to deal with emotions (exercise, gripe here, call a friend, clean house, go shopping, etc. etc.).
8. Forgive yourself. Don't let one lapse grow into a binge. Just balance balance balance, and get on with it. Fall off the wagon on one meal or secret cookie-splurge? NEXT MEAL get back on track and eat smart. It's ONLY FOOD!

And be creative! You can do this and make it part of your life! We didn't develop poor eating habits and gain weight overnight; it'll take time to learn new things and make it work for you!
